Overview

Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye was founded durring the early 13th century in summer of the year 1230, by Belegiel Dyêtconm. The establishment of Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Belegiel Dyêtconm struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye as a prison colony.

Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye was built using the conventions of Constructi durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of crampt gravel streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye's millitarily questionable fortifications are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

A look around Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye makes it abundantly clear the town suffered something horrible some time ago. It’s a quiet town filled with closed scriptoriums, people quietly yet dejectedly reading in isolated places around town, and the occasional book laying in a heap of garbage.

Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye's parks.

Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye's natural decorations nor waterways.

Cultural Notes

The locals are in a state of despair and dull apathy. They've lost the things that used to give them pride and hope, with the best among them carrying on out of habitual duty and the worst giving ready hands to shameful deeds and ignoble acts. No one really believes the future can be better, and most seek only to satisfy immediate appetites.

Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

In Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye rainbows form quite often above the Town.

The Carrion Moth near Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves creating small tokens to channel Summoning energies of tier 3 via moments of science.

Points of Interest

Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye's roads were poorly made when first laid. Rather than repairing them correctly, a series of new roads was laid atop the old, leading to the streets of modern Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye suffering from potholes, cracking, and even sinkholes. The locals often repair the road by putting down wooden decking.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye was attacked by soldiers from another nation, with orders to raid Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye lost 121 people, 160 livestock, and 65 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 37, when members of Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye's militia enacted an operation to delay the operations of the enemy. The operation was complicated by an outbreak of plague which struck the ranks, killing many and laying low many more. The conflict ended with needing to break through the enemy's lines, which ended in victory for Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Fìkh Văjĭ Ægye's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
